No time to be sick

Okay, okay already. Sheesh. :)

I'm finally here. I like to arrive fashionably late to the party. Actually, that's not true. I hate being late because I am always afraid I am going to miss something good.

Regardless, I am here now... but not for long. I woke up today with some GI issues that prevented me from going to work today. And I only allowed myself this teensy peek at the computer before it's back to the couch. Those are the rules: staying home from work/school means no computer/playstation. If we're staying home, then all that time is to be spent recuperating. (I broke the rules to check my work email... that doesn't count.)

The sad thing is that I am feeling much better now, and all I can think about is the hours slipping away and that I am not getting anything productive done. I think I am going to go back to the couch and grab my micro book and start working on next session's class... or maybe I will take another nap. There is something wonderfully decadent about lounging in the AC on a summer day with the house blissfully quiet. Too bad it requires the poopies to make it happen. :P

What are the rules when one of yours is sick?

If it's the kids home sick...they can't move from the couch or their bedroom. There is absolutely no running, jumping or playing. They are sick...that's part of staying home.

Usually if I am sick...my rearend NEVER leaves the couch unless it's to use the potty!

BTW...Sorry you're not feeling well today! Hope you feel better soon!

If my kids are sick, it's pretty much business as usual. Since I don't have a job outside of the home, there aren't many hoops to jump through. I quit trying to keep the boys separated. It's a total waste of time. If they are sick enough, I don't have to enforce many rules, the sickness does that for them.

Now if me or the mister are sick, we banish ourselves to our bedroom. It usually works.

Sorry the poopies bit you in the bum today. *giggle*

No really - - I'm sorry.

We instituted the "no games/no fun" rule after Jacob started school. Otherwise he would always be sick. Luckily, whatever school may be, it is not boring.

Pretty much the same here- If they are sick, they are sick... No WII, computer, etc.. I will let them watch TV, but that is for my sanity :)

If they are able to get up and get their make-up work finished, *sometimes* I will relent and let them play a few minutes of a computer game. But then, they HAVE to go to school the next day, even if they are dying.
