O.M.G.!!!

My 4-year-old has been totally into On-Demand TV lately. Noggin On-Demand has Blue's Clues! Jacob, my little Blue's Clues fan, is always trying to find it himself. Usually, I have to commandeer the remote and get to it for him.

So, this morning, while my husband was getting dressed and I was still thinking about getting out of bed, Jacob came in and asked if he could watch "a Blue". I heard my husband tell him that he would be out in a minute to do it for him.

John and I started talking about plans for the day, then jokingly said we had to go out to see what trouble Jacob was in.

Well, the first thing we saw was Jacob sitting like a good boy on the sofa, totally engrossed in what was on TV. Then, John and I both looked at the TV at the same time. It took us both about 3 seconds to process what he was watching.

The next five seconds went like this:

John: Jacob, what the hell are you watching?!? (John NEVER talks like this to Jacob)
Jacob: My show
John: Where's the remote?!?
Jacob: Don't change my show!!

John, fumbling with the remote, just pushing buttons to get the "adult-rated content" off the screen, got it turned off just in time for my 11-year old and his friend to come in the room. (The friend, for those of you that know her, was Jody's son. Can you JUST IMAGINE if he had seen that???)

Anyway, we made everyone under age 21 leave the room, and John had to figure out what he pushed on the remote to make it all go away. When we got it back up, we found that Jacob had found the "Adult" On-Demand button, and found something about Miami Women, which cost $12.99!

Let me tell you, I lived in Miami, and NEVER saw anything like what I saw in those five seconds. Quite the education on a Sunday morning.

But, I called Suddenlink... They were able to take off the $12.99 charge, AND block pay-per-view shows. So now, we will have to call in any pay-per-view requests. SO not a problem.

Fast forward a few hours. Jacob wants to watch a movie. "Do you want to watch a Blue?" I asked. "No." Jacob went over to our DVD's and was looking through the titles.
"Lion King?"
"No."
"Little Bear?"
"No"
"Jacob, what do you want to watch?"
"Can I watch my naked girl movie?"

"NO!"

So now, he's watching Franklin the Turtle. I think my son is scarred for life. I know I am.

I can't stop laughing. That is the funniest thing I've read in a LONG time.

We really should block that stuff on our dvr, too. Yikes!

I've always said that we "should" block that stuff too... M&M would have NEVER thought to do half the things that Jacob does on a daily basis. I guess, now that M&M are older, it is a good thing that those things are blocked now anyway :)

I'm still laughing. I just read the entry to David. He got quite a chuckle out of it, too.

That's hysterical... and *so* Jackson. He *loves* girls. He would have been all over that. ;)
